It’s no secret that I really, really like yarn so on a visit this past weekend to Whidbey Island I had to visit the incredible Paradise Found Fiber Farm. Pygora goats, alpacas and llamas all came up to the fence to greet us while we listened to the history of the site and the animals from owners Mary and Lou Donaty.
We learned the difference between the fibers, how to care for these gentle beasts, the shearing schedule and a bit what it takes to run a place like this.
In the fiber shack all the pieces came together in the form of soft roving, hand spun yarns and beautiful felted and knitted items. Products can be purchased on-site or on-line as well.
Eggs and seasonal vegetables are for sale too so there is something for even the non-knitters in your family.
I love your new site and blog! A friend of mine shared this on facebook. I hope you are still enjoying the Rancho papagallo pygoras! I’m still raising them- they are the best!! It is very nice to see you online, and I am living in fremont with my husband sometimes and will absolutely be by to see you this summer! Blessings to all! Jill Mann
