My daughter chose College of Wooster for the great academics and international opportunities. I was thrilled with her decision because it’s in the heart of Amish country! On a recent visit I had a chance to do a short tour through the surrounding area.
Sadly at the same time news was breaking of the abduction of two young Amish girls from their farmstand in upstate New York. The girls were found and are more or less safe but it has brought national attention to the intersection of Amish with non-Amish cultures. Here is one of the articles from the New York Times.
