Visiting Cincinnati I rounded a corner in the German founded “Over the Rhine” neighborhood and followed enticing scents of pickles and spices to the historic Findlay Market.
This 150 year old market is the place to go if you are looking for fresh produce, local meats, mouth watering preserves and of course, amazing sauerkraut.
The market was built on land donated by General Findlay in 1851 for a public market and is currently owned by the city of Cincinnati. It is managed by a private non-profit corporation.
Next visit I will come on the weekend when vendors from the surrounding lush countryside set up stalls and if I’m lucky may even catch a tour!
I'd love to hear from you!
