The Goat Hill Giving Garden is a unique garden started in 2010 and maintained by King County employees. This garden both raises food for the Pike Market Senior Center and teaches employees and friends how to garden in the Pacific Northwest. Classes on topics such as pest prevention, super tomato growing and making herbal teas are taught by King County employee volunteers.

Garden at 5th Avenue and Jefferson across from the Chinook Building.
Path leading up to the garden.
An old bus shelter was moved into place and painted. There are bee hives on top.
Recycled pipes were filled with compost and planted with flowers and herbs.
These tomato trellises can easily be dismantled each year and they are sturdy enough for big plants.
Trellises are made with pipe fittings, bamboo and pvc pipe.
There is a water cistern on the hill that is filled with a hose from the garage each week. This makes watering possible.
