Cascadian Edible Landscaping is following up their amazing Spring Into Bed, Food Justice Gardens and Plant Start projects with another wonderful idea; it’s the anti-gumball machine.
Here’s a message from Michael about the program:
Happy Autumn. I wanted to share something that has been cooking for too long, that we just installed yesterday at Chaco Canyon Cafe in the U-District.
It is a “seed ball” machine, with edible flowers and a nice winter green blends in the balls. The idea is to take some of these balls and plant (toss) them wherever you see a spot that could use something beautiful and bountiful. All the proceeds will be donated to Food Justice Gardens of various types. Many thanks to Chaco Canyon for their collaboration with this, at no charge to us for the floorspace.
Check it out and get some good organic food while you’re there.
